Trakka Systems Announces TrakkaCam TC-300 and
TrakkaMaps TM-100 for Alachua County Sheriff

March 7, 2022

Bradenton, FL – February 3, 2022 –– Trakka Systems announces delivery to Alachua County Sheriff’s Office of TrakkaCam TC-300 and TrakkaMaps TM-100 map and video management system. The compact, long-range, multi-sensor TC-300 surveillance system replaced the analog 8500 FLIR camera.

“The H.D. equipment allows us better capability of surveillance and locating people because we get a much clearer view. We can operate at a lot higher altitude, which is not only safer for flight operations but noise is greatly diminished,” said Bray.

“We tested other camera options, but they are based all the way on the west coast. Trakka is based in Bradenton, Florida, about an hour and a half two hours away, and they have been really hands-on helping us out,” said Deputy Sheriff Caley.

“TrakkaCam will not only have a clearer picture because of the high definition, but it will allow our pilots to operate at higher altitudes reducing the noise to citizens. The system will be able to overlay roads and addresses on the camera image, making the system more user-friendly. The new camera gives the Aviation Unit two helicopters equipped with cameras. Prior to this, the Unit had been operating with just the single older camera system. The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office will be the first agency in Florida and the 10th agency in the U.S. to operate the new system. This advancement in technology will help our law enforcement do a more effective job to keep the community and each other safe with this important resource.”

Trakka’s TC-300 is a versatile, compact, long-range, multi-sensor surveillance system designed for installation on various manned and unmanned platforms. Its advanced features and sophisticated image processors are embedded within the single-LRU configuration and feature 4 axis, active gyro-stabilization, and integrated 6-axis passive isolation to provide highly stable, crystal clear high-definition imagery.

Advanced image processing modes, such as image blending, split-screen, and picture-in-picture, allow users to simultaneously exploit images from the different sensors and extract details that would otherwise go undetected by a single sensor. Moving Target Detection (MTI), is embedded right into the system. The TC-300 is a Non-ITAR exportable product, and RTCA DO-160 tested for environmental, electromagnetic, and mechanical compliance, making it ideal for use in even the harshest environments.

TM-100 is a full-featured mission mapping and video management system that can run on various computer platforms, including notebooks and ruggedized laptops.

The affordable and flexible architecture is easily customizable with open-source databases and user proprietary secure databases. Designed to integrate with TrakkaCam cameras and TrakkaBeam searchlights, the TM-100 can slew the camera and searchlight line of sight to any point on the map with the touch of the screen, mouse click, address, intersection, city, points of interest, or coordinate entries. The TM-100’s intuitive touchscreen controls offer 3D, street, satellite, and custom map views, available with augmented reality overlays on live video imagery.
