TrakkaBeam searchlight integral to German rescue training

April 4, 2023

The DRF Stiftung Luftrettung gemeinnützige AG team from Christoph62 received multi-day fundamental winch training in Göthekopf and Spitzberg, a massif in the Zittau Mountains/Seifhennersdorf. Emergency doctors of the Christoph 62 and the air rescuers of the mountain rescue Saxony practiced essential hovering exit and entry rescue missions.

With the proper technologies, locating and airlifting missing or injured civilians in waterways, heavily wooded mountains, or confined spaces under night cover and in all weather conditions can significantly improve with the sophisticated TrakkaBeam searchlight. Combining a highly trained crew with mission-critical technology is essential when every second counts.

“Only if we train as realistically as possible will the crews have the necessary tools to survive in difficult situations,” said Jörg Redetzky, Head of Crew Training.
