TRAKKA SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES NEW POWERLINE INSPECTION SYSTEM DELIVERIES

Moorabbin, Aust – Trakka Systems is pleased to announce that it recently delivered three TrakkaCams to be used for airborne inspections and documentation of utility assets. Systems were delivered to RotorWorks LLC and Haverfield Aviation Inc in the USA, as well as IEC in Israel. RotorWorks leverages helicopters as an aerial platform for data collection technology providing both transmission line maintenance and mapping services to its clientele. Haverfield Aviation is a leading provider of innovative aerial power line inspection, maintenance, repair and construction support services in the North American electric utility industry. Israel Electric Corporation builds infrastructure, generates, transmits, and supplies electricity to 2.6 million customers.

The TrakkaCam systems offer up to four, multi-spectral cameras; the highest resolution radiometric thermal imager available on the market today for precise temperature measurements of hotspots; a solar-blind UV camera for the detection of the Corona phenomenon in daylight; a high definition video camera and a 36 Mega Pixel photo camera, for documentation of faults, bird nests, woodpecker holes, loose or missing hardware, broken insulators, missing signs, vegetation management, corridor design and infringement.
